A 14 day South Island, Off-The-Beaten-Track tour... but with a different flavour. These are the places WE like to party in and have fun in ourselves when we tour with friends.

We've chosen a new and great off-the beaten track itinerary, with OUR favourite roads, and a series of great old gold mining pubs, "character" inns and lodges to stay in. The emphasis isn't quite so much on luxury/deluxe accommodation as with most of our Guided Tours - the key factor here is, interesting, fun and occasionally funky.

You won't be uncomfortable - all of the accommodations are clean, warm and comfortable... but on the occasional night, you'll need to forget the gold plated taps and marble vanities this time. Instead you'll find yourself staying in 150 year old historic gold mining inns with roaring log fires, perhaps a great bar filled with REAL New Zealanders.. you know the sort of thing.

We guarantee you'll have fun and look back with great and vivid memories of your tour. As with all of our tours, the cuisine will still be open menu and the best available.

Please note, on this itinerary you'll find you'll need to feel comfortable riding on unsealed roads occasionally, due to it's our quest to go truly "Off-The-Beaten Track". The longest stretch of unsealed road is around 17km/13 miles.
